How we began

Have you ever accidentally stumbled onto something great? That’s exactly how HazzardousHousewife began.

During our first year of marriage, I bought an embroidery machine on a whim thinking, “How hard could it be?” (Spoiler: I didn’t even know what a bobbin was.) With zero sewing experience, I taught myself one stitch at a time through YouTube and blogs — and completely fell in love with creating.

What started as a hobby has grown into a handmade business with over 1,500 happy customers, where every item is machine-embroidered and hand-assembled with care. I’m a former teacher, a mom of four daughters, and a self-taught embroiderer who believes gifts should feel personal, thoughtful, and made to last.

The name HazzardousHousewife was born during my early blogging days — a nod to my last name (Hazzard), my creative side, and life as a newlywed figuring things out as I went. Today, my husband and girls are my biggest cheerleaders (and frequent product models).

Thanks for being here and supporting handmade. I’m so glad you found us.
